Quantum Computing in Simple Terms
Quantum computing is a type of computing that uses quantum bits, or qubits, instead of traditional binary bits, which are either 0 or 1. Qubits can exist in multiple states simultaneously, allowing for much more complex calculations to be performed than is possible with traditional computing. In traditional computing, a bit can only be in one of two states, either 0 or 1. This is similar to a light switch, which can only be on or off. However, in quantum computing, a qubit can exist in multiple states at once, like a spinning top that can spin in multiple directions simultaneously. This allows for many more possible combinations of states, which can be used to perform more complex calculations.
